For support and assistance with your web hosting, please contact me directly.
The following table summarises the key settings that you need know in order to configure your email client correctly. For detailed information on configuring a particular email client see the links to the right. If your client is not listed and you are having difficulties please don't hesitate to contact me.
Incoming Email Settings
Setting | Value |
---|---|
IMAP Server | secure.katalinabrown.co.nz |
IMAP Port | 143 |
Username | |
Password | |
Encryption | TLS (preferred) or SSL |
We recommend you use TLS encryption, however if your mail client does not support this you may also use SSL on the alternative port of 993.
Outgoing Email Settings
Setting | Value |
---|---|
SMTP Server | secure.katalinabrown.co.nz |
SMTP Port | 25 |
Username | |
Password | |
Encryption | TLS (preferred) or SSL |
We recommend you use TLS encryption (on port 25 or 587), however if your mail client does not support this you may also use SSL on the alternative port of 465.
Some ISPs have started to block port 25 on their network. If you cannot send email when your client is configured to use port 25, please change your settings to use port 587 instead.
Advanced Details
The details above are the recommended settings for our clients, but our servers are flexible and also support POP3 and unencrypted POP3/IMAP connections (encryption/authentication is always required for SMTP connections). You are welcome to use these alternative configurations if you wish, but we will not be able to provide support or configuration assistance for them.
